Fonts too small[edit]

Am I the only one who thinks that the fonts are way too small...? --ligemeget 09:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

No, they could do to be a bit bigger, the next size down from the standard font size (this one) would probably do the trick. I'll take a look at it and see if I can edit it, if not, I'll ask Jaymach. --MattyDienhoff 11:30, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
FTR, I asked Jaymach to increase the size - I personally think it looks better now. --ligemeget 22:07, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
That looks much better. --MattyDienhoff 03:46, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Weapons[edit]

We should reconsider what the 'Weapons' field in this infobox means. There seems to be a lot of confusion about what the various fields in the infoboxes are for, and the weapons field is a perfect example of one people routinely fill with the wrong kind of information. Take this article as an example. Some people look at a protoganist's article, see the infobox, and think "Well, since this is a player controlled character who uses every weapon in the game, I'll list all of them". Obviously, this is a bad idea.

The other option is to write something like "All" or "Most weapons in the series", but that's an indistinct and pointless statement, in my opinion.

So, this is my idea. I think we should rename "Weapons" in this, the character infobox, to "Signature Weapon\s", more clearly defining the field's purpose. Signature weapons are those that are used only by the character in question, or are at least preferred. For example, Gordon isn't the only one who ever uses the Gravity Gun, Alyx and Breen both use it at certain points too, but it's still Gordon's signature weapon, isn't it? Obviously, not all characters have a signature weapon, and classes of characters, like Rebels, and enemies, like Overwatch soldiers, can't be said to have 'signature weapons', since they're not unique characters. That doesn't matter anyway, because almost all generic NPC articles use the enemy infobox.

Examples of signature weapons:

  • Gordon - Crowbar, Gravity Gun
  • Grigori - Annabelle
  • Alyx - Alyx's Gun
  • Barney Calhoun - Pulse Rifle
