Nihilanth's page[edit]

Hello, your recent edit to the Nihilanth's page has been reverted. The scene described in your edit does not occur in any official game. Thanks. --Barnz (talk) 22:40, 22 June 2016 (BST)

It DOES actually! Almost NO ONE has noticed it though, look for the ending for Half-Life Decay (if you'd be so kind) on YouTube, MarphitimusBlackimus or however you say his name lol has all the endings on YouTube including Decay and after the harmonic reflux FIRST occurs and they are teleported back, Gina and Colette are standing around the Displacement beacon, and you CAN IN FACT hear the Nihilanth say in a 'booming echo' of sorts, "E-E-Earth..." I'm not making this up. Since Gina and Colette closed the rift (temporarily) the Nihilanth has to re-open it, which he does. And the Nihilanth is saying Earth because it could potentially be a safe haven. To get an 'Admin' on the wiki to notice it and make it 'official' would be cool, just to make people more aware of it. Thanks. :-) — Unsigned comment by FoxtrotBlueshift
No, it doesn't. I was one of the developers of the PC remake/port of Decay. I have tools to check entities in the map files. I can confirm that the Nihilanth does not appear in the final mission of the game. --Barnz (talk) 18:18, 24 June 2016 (BST)
Did you actually go back and check? Because I just watched it again, I don't how you can miss it :-/ It's pretty clear, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBYs8pBIQrM go to 6:06 of that Half-Life 1 series - All Endings in HD video, right after the random explosion, I swear. — Unsigned comment by FoxtrotBlueshift
That's Dr. Keller's voice. Here is the audio clip from the game files. --Barnz (talk) 19:33, 24 June 2016 (BST)
Oh, I know that the voice YOU are referring to is Dr. Keller's voice, I'm not talking about the 'iiiiiiiii' echo from Keller, I always knew that was Keller, believe me. I'm talking about...look, the only way to hear the voice is to go to 6:03 of that video aforementioned above (Marphy himself uploaded it) and just listen closely. It's RIGHT after the gameplay of that chapter is done, AFTER shooting down the alien flyer, it's pretty much the 2ND thing you hear in Decay's ending of that video (besides the displacement sounds). First, there is a random explosion (those small weird orange clouds floating in the air are in the shot, and Colette is off to Gina's right, on the other side of the Displacement Beacon, this is all outside mind you)...and then the Nihilanth's voice comes through and says, 'E-Earthhhhh.' You can distinctly hear the stress of the 'H' at the end of the word 'Earth'...it's definitely him. Sorry for the weird directions on trying to find this damn saying from him, it's hard to explain things via typing, so things got lost in the translation, I think...
I know this conversation with me must be getting obnoxious for you lol but the chapter 'Resonance' has Keller referencing the Nihilanth, by saying that's something is interfering from the other side of the rift in Xen, as a result of what Gina and Colette were doing: trying to seal it. I know my Half-Life, okay? :-) I know that eerie voice is him, it makes sense since Gina, Colette and Keller are interfering with his last shot out of Xen away from the Combine's grasp. And I love this site BTW, I feel like I can trust the site, so I wouldn't be trying to spew info out there that ins't true. If you're still interested go to the video and try again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBYs8pBIQrM go to 6:03 and start from there and just listen, it's after the teleportation sound hits, there is an explosion after Gina comes to, THEN the voice ;-) To simplify, it's the VERY first shot of Half-Life: Decay's ending in that video. Wear earphones if necessary. BTW again, since the Nihilanth doesn't really know complete English, he says 'earth...' in a weird way, putting unnecessary stresses on the word like the G-Man does if that helps. — Unsigned comment by FoxtrotBlueshift
No. --Barnz (talk) 00:25, 25 June 2016 (BST)

Well! What a riveting conclusion! 'No.' :-/

That is ALL you have to say? You're kind of being a dick. God, you're stubborn too...well, I know I'm right. See ya.
