HL2 - Depot. YARD
- NOTE: Turrets and sentry guns indicate machinegun nests ie they are vulnerable to bugbait/antlion attacks.
- Player entrance
- Locked gate
- Combine auto-guns (with reload delay)
- No exit
- Soldiers
- Sentry gun
- Barricaded entrance
- Dead antlion guard
- Attacking antlions
- Wing building & bridge (& entrance) to take cover from battle, nipping from spot to spot while fight rages
- Locked gate
- Player learns that gun nests cannot shoot all the way down to their own base - that there is a safe zone.
- infinite supply of bugbait around corner
- Player is safe beneath turrets range, but for same reason cannot hit/hurt turret from safe zone, except via bug bait or difficult grenade shots. Can shoot turret gunner from elsewhere, but this is tricky & risky.
- Safe zone
- Not much cover - ??? that f??? turret is difficult but possible
- Turret fire covers alley denies passage
- Drainage ditch
- (1) Bridge - shelter from guns, but player cannot see or shoot guns while sheltering
- (2) Ditch - shelter from gun B. and in one area passes close enough to base of gun A that A cannot shoot either. A cannot be seen of shot from safe area, but bugbait is effective, grenades can also work (though are difficult).
- (3) When bugbait/antlions bring down gun A, the ditch then provides cover from B and thus a safe route to the safe-zone base of B. Repeat bugbait attack.
- (4) Once gun B is down, the exit corridor is no-longer lethal, player can finish.
