Azian Vance was the wife of Eli Vance and mother of Alyx Vance. Azian lived at the Black Mesa Research Facility with them. She was killed during the Black Mesa Incident. While escaping, Eli managed to save a picture of his wife, which, along with Alyx, was all he could save from Black Mesa. He bought the picture to Black Mesa East to remember his wife.
