When the Vortigaunts "weaved" Alyx's and Gordon's lives together, wouldn't that mean that if Alyx would die, Gordon would also?

Hmmm.... It's possible... No way to know for certain, but it could jsut mean that they would have a much stronger bond than any other humans. I think you could compare it to getting married, cause I did see a few similarities between a wedding ceremony and what they said.
