Did Aperture Science go through actual bankruptcy reorganization? I'm guessing they did because their name changed over time and I assume that was part of the reorganization process...Alexcranson 18:30, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

I'd say so, Black mesa spent time exploring alternative dimensions whilst Aperture were causing US Astronauts to go MIA, Though i'd expect some sort of goverment bailout regime took place

Though it does seem Cave spent alot of money they didnt have, with the "We couldn't buy $7 worth of moon rocks" comment

That quote always confused me, if the ccompany literaly didnt have  $7 to spend how could he have even employed anyone? not to mention seven dollars would not even buy a swab of moon dust, the term "seven grams of moon rocks" would likey have more apropriate, i assume this was a mistake that was never caught. The thing is, if they couldn't afford to buy 7$ worth of moon rocks, then it wouldn't even be possible to buy the moon rocks that he did. I have the feeling that when Cave says "We literally couldn't afford to..." he doesn't actually mean literally. Either that or its a mistake. It is safe to say that Aperture did go through some tough times financially speaking, though.
