??[edit]
If the guy's an HECU sniper, why the hell did he shoot me? And why the hell was he in black? PX173 12:45, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
- I can sense some spam here. Klow 14:39, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, I think he's referring to the fact that he was playing Op4. I was actually wondering earlier whether or not the HECU Sniper was a Black Ops sniper instead. It's hard to say, seeing as it's not actually verified in-game. Can someone verify whether or not the sniper shoots at you in Opposing Force? --Bramblepath 20:20, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. Well, it's been a Black Op since 11 years now. Klow 23:35, March 20, 2010 (UTC)
- I don't understand... Does it shoot at the player in Op4? Is it even there in Op4?Bramblepath 20:43, March 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah Black Op snipers shoot at Shephard, but they are not as hidden as the HECU ones in HL. Klow 08:38, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

First appearance[edit]
Is the first appearance definitely Surface Tension? I remember being shot by an unknown "thing" in Questionable Ethics. Or does that chapter end as soon as you exit the facility? --Bramblepath 20:45, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
I first got shot by the sniper in that outdoor area before the rocket, but I could never find the sniper. Otherwise, the first attack was in the desert area with the falling bricks, before the tripmine puzzle building. --Boygenius32
- Oh! Yes, that's the place. I remember now, near the rocket launch site. Is that in Surface Tension? --Bramblepath 21:06, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed. And it's in On A Rail, before Surface Tension (map: c2a2g !). So I guess that makes the first appearance. Of note is that this sniper is a bit lazier than the others. He doesn't shoot unless you reach for the supplies near the electric cabin. Klow 22:08, February 6, 2010 (UTC)
Infobox image[edit]
Wouldn't it be more desirable to show it how it actually appears in-game, rather than the "behind the scenes" kind of image? --Bramblepath 21:13, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
- The infobox shows how it actually is, so that the gallery covers properly its appearances without using the same pic twice. Klow 21:31, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm really inclined to argue here. The "average half-life fan" wouldn't see that in-game, so why put it there? It seems stupid to me, like putting a picture of eggs and flour to represent a cake --Bramblepath 21:38, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed indeed, I get your point. I changed it, and restored the old pic. Better now, huh? Klow 21:43, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Much better :^P --Bramblepath 21:44, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
