Misnamed characters[edit]
I noticed two characters at Shorepoint Base are independently mixed up and misnamed.
According to this article, there are two characters called "Daniel" and "Jacob", with Daniel being one of the rebels fighting with Leon and Jacob being one of the wounded rebels in the radio room. Both names come from the animation used by the rebel tending to Winston and the animation used by the nurse in the radio room respectively. There is also an unnamed rebel medic who tells Leon that Winston has been hit, who she proceeds to tend to with Daniel.
However, the nurse's "Jacob" animation is first used by the apparently unnamed female medic who fights with Leon and tends to Winston, and the female medic herself is actually named "warehouse_citizen_jacobs" in the level. There is also an entity named "jacobs_smg_maker" for replacing her weapon with a prop when she crouches down to tend to Winston. This suggests her name or surname is Jacobs and the nurse in the radio room is just reusing her animation.
In addition, "Daniel" has an output calling a missing entity called "danielsdead_branch". His animation also refers to "Daniels" instead of "Daniel". This suggests his name/surname is actually "Daniels".
I noticed these discrepancies while looking through the map and browsing the wiki, so I decided to create an account and edit it myself. This is my first edit to the Combine Overwiki and while I don't think there's really room for doubt on them, I feel like "replacing" an entire character (the unnamed wounded rebel) is kind of a big deal and I want to make sure that my reasoning for it is clear.
