Introduction[edit]
This is not ment for an actual wikipage at all, just a user project page.
Originally Half-Life 2 was English. The game was then translated not by the Steam Translation Service Community, but from different translators that worked or were employees at Valve.
However, some words and etc. in other languages can't perhaps be exactly the same like in English. This can mean that however it was translated into another language, the translation that the translators picked, might have a certain reasoning, such as the context or the meaning of the translated version matches with the original English one.
Though even then, perhaps that in certain language a word has more meanings or clearer meanings than another word. It is possible that if a translator didn't know the context, that they asked the developers for clarification. Comparing the translated versions, might reveal information about something. And this is what the point with this comparison is supposed to be.
There could be inaccurate or accurate translations. Within Half-Life, some of the voicelines are hard to understand to create a transcription of it.
