About your screenshots contributions[edit]
Your screenshot additions are much appreciated in adding necessary visuals to article that were previously lacking them. However, there's one request I'd like to make of you: Please give your screenshots descriptive filenames. You're currently adding your screenshots with titles that are simply the date they were taken at, like File:20200621130921 1.jpg. This makes it very difficult to organize through images on the wiki as we can't tell what the image is for or even what game it's from. I recommend renaming your screenshots to include the name of the game and the subject matter included. For example, this Portal 2 screenshot showing the Shredder can simply be "Portal2 Shredder.jpg". Following this practice in the future will be greatly helpful to us. Marphy (talk) 23:03, 21 June 2020 (MSK)
- In addition, it's preferable to take screenshots with the maximum in-game graphics settings. The most noticeable quality issue is the lack of anti-aliasing, resulting in noisy "stairs" on edges — it's recommended to take screenshots with 8x MSAA, or, if you have an AMD graphics card or a pre-Maxwell Nvidia one, 16x. Also, keeping the letterbox in video screenshots is undesirable. Transparent or blank areas around the subject of the image preferably should be trimmed as well. Once again, we ask you to please give the images you upload to the wiki descriptive filenames. These are the latest images you've uploaded:
- File:130319103618 rEB4AAlaWo.jpg
- File:130319103618 NtQL9xT4Cr4.jpg
- File:130319103618 yS4Px8X895w.jpg
- File:130319103618 xXyh-E7jFP0.jpg
- File:130319103618 Njz5UMLlWo.jpg
These types of filenames make it needlessly difficult for everyone to organize and maintain these images. Marphy (talk) 14:05, 10 March 2022 (MSK)
