Concept art[edit]

The "Combine Tank"
I found concept art of a vehicle called the Combine Tank. It looks similar to the APC, but there are some differences, such as their appears to be a cannon in its front. Perhaps it is a variation of this vehicle or vice versa. Any opinions, because if it is different, I'll write a page for it as a cut enemy. Dark Ridley 20:17, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Actually, it seems to be identical to the final APC, if you look at the one in-game it has a 'cannon' barrel in that exact same place, but it's never used as far as I know (unless that's how the APC launches rockets, I never looked that closely). --MattyDienhoff 04:04, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
I know the answer to this question. There is not a known combine tank encountered (maybe yet). This is an APC. That thing was in front of the APC the whole time scense I play Gmod. So this is just a reguar APC. -- Mega Sean 45

NPC Create[edit]

I don't know why Valve didn't use a cheat for the Combine APC like npc_apc. Do you know why valve didn't use a cheat for them?

Probably because it's not an NPC, technically. --MattyDienhoff 23:07, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Gordon, take out the APCs[edit]

When does Barney say this? I've gone through Half-Life 2 and its episodes and the only thing i've found similar to it is 'Gordon, take out these snipers' in 'Follow Freeman'. --Donovan-j-charlie 00:45, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

I don't think he ever does. Why, did you find it in the game's files? --MattyDienhoff 04:19, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Oh wait, I see what you mean. >_>
Well, like I said, I don't think he ever does say that, so my guess is whoever added the quote pulled it out of their arse (if you'll forgive the expression, lol) --MattyDienhoff 04:21, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

It's in Episode One.THEULTIMAte PIMPDINOSAUR 04:37, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

When? The only bit of Ep 1 that I can think of with an APC in it is in chapter 5: Exit 17 when you're helping the resistance through to the trains. Well I guess i'll just have to play Half-Life 2: Episode One again won't I, what a shame :P

Actually, part way through "exit 17," an APC attacks you. if you back to barney, he says that. --FireMan 01:11, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Captured APCs[edit]

In this article, I said that the resistance has captured APC's, as sees outside the overwatch nexus. This was removed, as it was beleived to be a mistake. Well, after playing that level again, I unmistakably saw am APC shooting rockets at a strider. Does anyone need proof? --Fireman V2 23:30, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Rebels are equipped with RPGs. You actually seen rockets flying out of the APC and hit the strider? ---BlueFlamePRG
Yes, I do need proof, because I know you're mistaken. There's an APC sitting there, and rebels with RPGs all around it. The rebels fire their RPGs, the APC never does. --MattyDienhoff «talk» 04:20, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, APCs do fire rockets at the chapter "Water Hazard" at the player, but it is imposible taht it fires rockets at a strider.B-MAN 17:39, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

An Actual APC[edit]

A BRDM-2 (a Soviet Armored Scout Car/APC) can be found wrecked in the Anticitizen One chapter. Might we include this as a resistance or human military vehicle? It has more presence in the game than the C-130.132.162.215.68 21:30, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

It's already in the article. Klow 19:22, September 15, 2009 (UTC)

That's not a BRDM-2[edit]

That's actually a V-100 commando series APC: [1] 76.115.12.29 00:02, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

Redirect[edit]

Since APC could refer to the HL1 Bradley as well, this page should actually be a redirect, and have a separate Combine APC article. There could even be a separate page for the conscript APC. Is this agreed on? --FiremanV2 00:14, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Let's avoid confusion - their names are already different enough, and when users look for "APC", they think about the Combine one before the Bradley. I added 2 redirect tags instead. And please don't created redlinks. ;) Klow 08:53, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
I made redlinks? Where? D: --FiremanV2 15:14, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
"Combine APC". ;) Klow 15:16, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, on the talk page. That's right, they go to "Wanted articles." Sorry 'bout that. :P --FiremanV2 15:48, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, we are one of the very few wikis around the web that most of the time have no wanted categories, no wanted files, no wanted pages, and no wanted templates. And I want to keep it that way! ;) Klow 16:57, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
I've certainly noticed that. Out of the gaming wikis I've seen, we're teh only ones who really put an emphasis on the universe, and not the actual gameplay. We also have a lot more images than most. ;) --FiremanV2 19:32, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
And maybe we are wrong, who knows... The fact that the most involved contributor (me) doesn't not give a damn about weapons and such and prefers video games as an art makes a big difference... Klow 23:46, May 26, 2010 (UTC)
