Wheatley as the designer[edit]
IMO the crusher is not developed by Wheatley, as Chell nearly gets crushed by one while falling to the Emergency Intelligence Incinerator after the "powerup". RAGe 12:13, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
- I think the crusher was made by AS in 1998. SiPlus 14:01, May 15, 2011 (UTC)
- That, and if Wheatley invented the crushers, there would be no way GLaDOS could quickly work them into the Co-Op courses. Smelltheashes 03:09, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
- It's not entirely impossible. Chell's out for around twelve hours after the final confrontation with Wheatley (the moon's in full view during the encounter, yet it's bright and sunny when she finally goes to the surface). It's also not specified how much time passes exactly between the end of the single-player campaign and the coop campaign. Twelve hours is plenty of time for an omnipotent AI to integrate mashy spike plates into the test chambers. Sangheili1024 04:45, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
- Think ever futher back, the crushers were discussed by Cave Johnson in the Panels trailer, so chances are he simply attempts to take credit for something he found, in an attempt to make himself less moronic Drake3011 20:50, May 16, 2011 (UTC)
- (Note: The Cave Johnson videos are non-canon.) Due to the fact that there are crushers on the route to the incinerator, I think Wheatley simply re-invented the wheel. ^^, E gal 13:32, May 23, 2011 (UTC)
