Distance?[edit]
Who the hell decided that Ravenholm is 75 km from the Citadel? The whole Water Hazard and Route Kanal levels were under 30 km combined. 71.245.76.111 18:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Edit Buttons[edit]
I was going to fix a few minor grammatical (I know I probably misspelled that but I spellcheck for the articals themselves) errors but was unable to because I couldn't find the Edit buttons. Odds are there's another way to access it but I couldn't find it. Thanks for your theoretical future help, whoever responds.--Thulu 04:19, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
- I see an edit button. Darkman 4 06:19, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

Alive?[edit]
I have yet to confirm this but, I heard that you can see him in the end of Episode one on board the train with Barney, he doesn't have Annabelle and is mumbling and twittling his fingers. --76.178.72.61 20:11, January 4, 2011 (UTC)
Grigori or Father Grigori?[edit]
Shouldn't this article be named "Grigori" as father is cllearly a title, and this wiki's policy clearly is that titles should be included in the articles names? --Fijure 18:01, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
- Yet it is how he is named in-game. Bramblepath 14:30, January 30, 2011 (UTC)
- He is named like that in-game because his name is only heard once in-game when he presents himself to Gordon, and it is by no means unusual to present yourself with your title.--Fijure 17:33, January 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Given the huge list of characters with a title, none of which having that title in the article name, I thought Fijure was right and greenlit the move. Klow 21:19, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

Ravenholm Appearance[edit]
Quote: "His eyes begin to glow a purple color, and once the mutation reaches a peak" False statementment, imo. Isn't it caused just by missing texture/shader effect? --OddDoc (talk) 06:34, 8 June 2020 (MSK)
- You're correct that the model screenshot likely shows a missing texture. I've made the edit, but you're welcome to make such corrections yourself. Marphy (talk) 07:13, 8 June 2020 (MSK)
Grigori's history[edit]
Per Prima Guide, "Father Grigori sought out the harsh mining town of Ravenholm and did his best to minister to its citizens throughout the Combine invasion and occupation." This could read as that he sought it out during the invasion/occupation, but also that he sought it out [before] and then did his best to minister its citizens [during the invasion/occupation]. The uncorrected proof of Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar states on page 234 that "He was there for a long time, before the invasion. Has a deep attachment to the place, stayed on, and helped people who came there for shelter." So what's the best way to incorporate it? Are these conflicting statements or not necessarily? We could write in the same sentence that he sought the town out before the invasion (reference the UP), and that the did his best, etc (reference PG). Or we could put the info from UP into behind-the-scenes if it counts as conflicting info. Thoughts? Cvoxalury (talk) 18:46, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- While the Prima guide's wording is slightly ambiguous as to the time relation between when Grigori sought out Ravenholm and when the Combine was present, I don't think it strongly reads as implying he only entered the town after the Combine invaded. As with some other tidbits that we can verify came directly from Marc, we can interpret the guide's words as very briefly summarizing the notion that Marc expressed in the uncorrected proof, meaning the two sources are conveying the same idea. The uncorrected proof's words can be incorporated into the article, and at most a note could also be included to address the slight time ambiguity, but I don't believe that's necessary.
