No soundtrack for BS[edit]

There isn't actually a soundtrack for Blue Shift. The Opposing Force music was played in the physical release of the game. In the release on Steam, the music from Half-Life was played. So should we make a note of that on this page? Or, this page could be deleted and we could put that down in the main Blue Shift article. Erickos 23:37, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

PC version's soundtrack is wrong[edit]

It is apparent that the PC version is actual meant to use Opposing Force's track order, rather than the odd one it released with. When you use it with Blue Shift, the music actually makes sense as replacements for the Dreamcast soundtrack. In particular, ‘Storm’ appears in ba_power1 and is actually timed to the door like ‘Hard Technology Rock’ was, and ‘Planet’ plays during the credits like in Opposing Force. There's apparently no official confirmation of this, but it does really seem to be the case that Gearbox somehow messed up something and got the soundtrack out of order. --Pepper314 (talk) 08:25, 30 March 2020 (MSK)

I am aware of this matter and will be delving into it myself later, although the signs do point to this theory being correct. There are still several international disc releases of Blue Shift that I have yet to examine and determine what they did with the soundtrack there. Marphy (talk)
