There is no original Half-Life: Blue Shift soundtrack. Tracks from the Half-Life soundtrack by Kelly Bailey were reused for the cancelled Dreamcast version of Blue Shift, while tracks from the Opposing Force soundtrack by Chris Jensen were reused for the Windows port.

Initially, the Steam versions of Blue Shift and Opposing Force did not use their original soundtracks but rather the Half-Life soundtrack by Kelly Bailey (sounding different from the Dreamcast version due to different track indices). This was, however, corrected when both games were converted into the SteamPipe distribution system.

The tracks in Opposing Force (and consequently Blue Shift) have never been officially named by either Jensen or the developers at Valve and Gearbox. The unofficial titles that have come to be associated with the soundtrack over time originated from community-contributed online music databases such as Gracenote. Although the tracks are identical, several of these Blue Shift titles differ from what was given for Opposing Force.
