Written by Geoff Keighley who also authored The Final Hours of Half-Life (2000), The Final Hours of Half-Life 2 (2004), and The Final Hours of Portal 2 (2011), it was released on July 9, 2020 on Steam and is available for $9.99.

The book's trailer and intro features a remix of the Half-Life 2 soundtrack track "Triage at Dawn" arranged by Frederick "Ursine Vulpine" Lloyd.[1][2][3]
