Volkswagen Beetle[edit]

Even though the Buggy in HL2 and the Jalopy which was cut out have some similarities with the Volkswagen Beetle, its not actually reasonable to say the Jalopy would be a stripped down VW.

The actual VW Beetle's chassis doesn't match Jalopy's, nor the actual Beetle front engined V8.

The only similarities with the Jalopy and Beetle are the streering wheel and front fenders/mud guards.

Oh, interesting. But please don't forget to sign your comments, people cannot guess you wrote that. So maybe it's based on another vehicle? Any suggestions?... Klow 11:10, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

I don't know what exact car it might be based on, but I have an idea of what manufacturer might have made said car. The normal map included in EP2 is based on an older version of the texture. The logo on the steering wheel is unfinished, and appears to be a lightly modified Mercedes Benz logo. For comparison, this is the logo as seen in the alpha channel of the normal map. Beyond this, the steering wheel is similar to several models produced by Mercedes Benz, including some of the 190, 230 and 300 series. I haven't found any that look exactly the same. --Paynamia (talk) 09:10, 11 August 2017 (MSK)

Passenger Seat[edit]

In the trivia, the passenger seat is described as being made of green metal. In some of the gameplay videos you can see portions of it up close, and to me, it looks more like a green cloth lawnchair, similar to this item: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072DVD6M5?psc=1 --Paynamia (talk) 08:41, 11 August 2017 (MSK)

You're correct, it looks to be a lounge chair. I've made the change just now, but you're welcome to make corrections to the article on your own. Marphy (talk) 09:02, 11 August 2017 (MSK)
