health vial[edit]

The "health vial" should be pointed out, particularly the fact CPs and overwatch soldiers may drop them.

There probably shouldn't be a picture of a TFC medkit, as TFC has nothing at all to do with Half-Life.

Good point, anon. Removed. Klow 19:20, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Similar to removing the TFC content, should the healthkits from Deathmatch Classic really be here either? Shadgrimgrvy 00:31, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

We won't remove everything. DMC and HL2DM stay. Klow 00:39, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Name[edit]

This should be named "Healthkit", not "medkit", which is what the entity and models are called. I'd do it myself, but I don't know how. --Fireman V2 18:40, March 6, 2010 (UTC)

The Wikipedia article is called "First aid kit, but is redirected as "Medkit", not as "Health Kit". In Spanish it's always called "Botiquín" (Medkit) but sometimes is used the term "Kit de primeros auxilios" (Healthkit), but the first it's a simple term. Maybe in English it's more called "Healthkit" than "Medkit" SIERRA 23 03:39, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Spawning Healthkits in HL1 Engine[edit]

Why is it that when i put "give item_healthkit" in the console for HL1 and expansions, the game will instantly bring me to the title screen? Is there any way around that. It happens on the Steam version, but I think I remember it doing the same thing of the Sierra version too. --BlueFlamePRG

Sometimes happens, sometimes it doesn't happen. I don't know why. SIERRA 23 03:28, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Black Mesa models[edit]

What about Black Mesa (remake) medkits? Will their images be added to gallery? — Unsigned comment by BigMax

No, Black Mesa is not an official title. Pixeled sandvich.png18 (Commentary node transparent.png) 18:42, 30 March 2016 (BST)

Lack of images notice[edit]

The page has a header banner notice thingy saying that the page needs more images, yet the page seems pretty image complete to me. Should the notice be removed? If not, what images would the page benefit from? -Gulliblepikmin 17:28, 13 February 2024 (MSK)

The image banner was added in 2012, so it's pretty ancient. I guess it's still there simply because nobody bothered to notify the Admins to remove it. Requiem (talk) 19:46, 16 February 2024 (MSK)
The article now contains a sufficient number of images, so I've gone ahead and removed the notice. Marphy (talk) 17:41, 25 February 2024 (MSK)
