Synergy is a co-operative multiplayer mod for Half-Life 2, Lost Coast, Episode One, Episode Two, and SiN Episodes: Emergence. It also includes fan-made cooperative maps, as well as support for certain mods. It is available for download on Steam.
Synergy has been around since early 2005; the first release was in September of 2005. Synergy stemmed from two older mods, Dev Coop and DC Cooperative 2. The latter has been around since 2003.
The latest version, version 56.16, was released on May 28th, 2015.
Synergy allows players to play through the Half-Life 2 saga, including Half-Life 2 and its episodes, in their entirety, cooperatively. It also has the ability to mount other third-party mods (and games), as well as featuring separate co-op maps.
In addition to Half-Life 2, its episodes and Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Synergy also supports some unofficial mods:
- City 7: Toronto Conflict
- Dangerous World
- Riot Act
- Rock 24
