Synergy is a co-operative multiplayer mod for Half-Life 2, Lost Coast, Episode One, Episode Two, and SiN Episodes: Emergence. It also includes fan-made cooperative maps, as well as support for certain mods. It is available for download on Steam.

Synergy has been around since early 2005; the first release was in September 2005. Synergy stemmed from two older mods, Dev Coop and DC Cooperative 2. The latter has been around since 2003.[1]

The latest version, version 56.16, was released on May 28, 2015.[2]

Features[edit]

Synergy allows players to play through the Half-Life 2 saga, including Half-Life 2 and its Episodes, in their entirety, cooperatively. It also has the ability to mount other third-party mods (and games), as well as featuring separate co-op maps.[3]

Supported mods[edit]

In addition to Half-Life 2, its Episodes and Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Synergy also supports some unofficial mods:[4]

  • Calamity
  • City 7: Toronto Conflict
  • Dangerous World
  • MINERVA
  • Offshore
  • Riot Act
