ValveTime is a gaming news website and community about the games produced by Valve. It was originally created as HalfLife2.net when Half-Life 2 was first announced in March 2003. It was renamed to ValveTime in 2012.

History[edit]

HalfLife2.net was founded on March 18, 2003 by Daniel "Munro" Turk[1] upon the announcement of Half-Life 2, intending it to be a news hub for the game as well as a community for fans of the series.[2][3]

ValveTime announced a relaunch on December 1, 2019, coinciding with the announcement of Half-Life: Alyx[4]; however, the last post on the official ValveTime website was a happy New Year message on January 1, 2020 by administrator Chris "Chris D" Deeming[5], with no subsequent updates as of 2024.
