Shooter is a minigame / experiment cut from The Lab.[1]

Relic[edit]
No relic, clipboard with in-universe scientific name or item was ever designed for Shooter, as they were all created after the minigame was already shelved.[2]
Minigame[edit]
Shooter was to be set in a theme park-like simulation of City 17, the main setting of the Half-Life series from Half-Life 2 onward. It is described as a simple arcade-style shot-em-up - a series of quick in-universe gunplay scenes where one plays as an unknown member of the Resistance.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit]
The game was cut for fears of it not reaching completion for the time of the demo's release. Further attempts at a Half-Life VR game eventually led to making Half-Life: Alyx.[1]
