Gameplay[edit]
Peggle Extreme's gameplay is the same as the original Peggle, with the levels featuring various screenshots and artwork from games in The Orange Box, including Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2, with an additional Counter-Strike: Source-themed level. The balls in the "Ball-o-Tron" had their design changed to resemble the "cubemap" entity's icon from Source Engine titles such as the aforementioned Orange Box games.
It also uses some sound effects from Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Portal when a level ends. For example: the G-Man will say "cleverly done" when any of the Episode Two-themed levels are completed.
