Footage shown in the Half-Life 2: 20th Anniversary Documentary depicts an unidentified weapon designed for Half-Life 2: Episode Three that was never included in any released project.[1] It used the same model as the Paint Gun also seen in a Portal 2 development video[2] and the depleted uranium-235 ammunition icon used by the Tau Cannon and Gluon Gun in the original Half-Life. In the very brief time it's shown on-screen, the weapon is never fired, leaving its abilities unknown.
As the documentary footage demonstrates it alongside the Ice Gun, evidence from previous Episode Three leaks suggests this unidentified weapon could be a new gun called the Weaponizer, a device utilizing concrete, liquid, and metal in some fashion,[3] or even the previously indicated Tau Cannon or Gluon Gun.[4][5] It's also possible it could be the Flamethrower or Teleport Gun referenced in these same files.[3][5]
