The Rocket Cannon[1] is a rocket launcher used by the HECU along the Black Mesa Transit System.

Overview[edit]

The Rocket Cannon is used by the HECU in chokepoints around the Black Mesa Research Facility, mostly in the Transit System. It resembles the real world M202A1 FLASH. It fires powerful rockets that can cause significant damage if it makes a direct impact on the target. However, its splash damage does damage as well, so one should try to avoid being near a wall when seeing a Rocket Cannon firing.

Tactics[edit]

Enemies using the Rocket Cannon are easy to kill, as they are immobile while using the weapon. A Grenade or Submachine Gun grenade is enough to kill the weapon controller in one shot.

Unlike the Tripod-Mounted Heavy Machine Gun, it is possible and easy to avoid projectiles fired by the Rocket Cannon, as it makes a loud sound when firing and its rockets are slow enough to be avoided by ducking.

Trivia[edit]

The Rocket Cannon fires the same rockets as that of the RPG; the RPG laser can turn the Rocket Cannon rockets back at it.
