The Hunter-Chopper Bomb is a timed explosive used in great numbers by the Hunter-Chopper to flush out Rebels and take down strongholds.

Overview[edit]
As its name implies, these mines are thrown by Hunter-Choppers in great numbers. It has two deployment modes: the first and more commonly seen one is to deploy them one by one in the course of moving targets or onto weak structures; the second mode is used after the chopper is severely damaged, and it will release its entire payload of mines in a spraying fashion in an attempt to kill its attacker as a last-ditch effort. The bombs are able to float on water, making them effective against watercraft such as the Airboat. As seen in Episode Two, the bombs are completely hollow.
In Half-Life 2, a Hunter-Chopper chases Gordon through the Canals and is destroyed near Black Mesa East. It heavily uses its bombs during the chase, and more prominently when being critically damaged. In Episode Two in the Outlands, Gordon must destroy a Hunter-Chopper with its own bombs by sending them back with the Gravity Gun.
