Terminal Gardens, also referred to as Terminal Gardens Metro Station,[1] is a City 17 Metro station located in the Quarantine Zone and featured in the fourth chapter of Half-Life: Alyx, Superweapon.

Overview[edit]

The station was previously part of City 17's metro, and was connected to lines 1, 2, 3, and 4. The station has two separate platforms and multiple exits, in which are several ticket and service booths, numerous billboards advertising various brands, and an elevated surveillance room. It also has an above-ground office complex that links to the station via an elevator. Due to Terminal Gardens' strategically important location, the Combine has installed their technology in places of the station and connected it to the underground levels of Fairview Junction and the Northern Star, presumably to accommodate Razor Trains and facilitate the transportation of captured Vortigaunts. A small military presence patrols the station, and the Overwatch Voice is also heard broadcasting here.

Two names of Terminal Gardens staff members can be found on the keycards used to unlock the two locked doors in the surveillance room: the orange keycard found in the surveillance room itself used to belong to Fyodor Todorova (valid through December 05, 2001), and the blue keycard found in the offices used to belong to Zdravka Damyanovska (valid through September 28, 2002). As seen on a security notice, Damyanovska had the job of overseeing the Station Safety & Security for the station.
