Area 8 Topside Dormitories is a Black Mesa Research Facility location featured in Half-Life: Blue Shift.

Overview[edit]
Area 8 Topside Dormitories consist of personnel dormitories, a basketball court, and a small tram platform. The residents appear to be living in portable houses. The area also serves as the East Personnel Entrance to the facility. This is where Barney Calhoun is accommodated while working at Black Mesa.
Trivia[edit]
Barney Calhoun can be seen waiting for a tram at the location in an unused cinematic in Blue Shift for Half-Life Dreamcast. A soccer ball that fell from the basketball terrain above can be seen under the tracks at the very start of the ride.
