Voice actress

Cissy Jones is an American voice actress who provided the voice of Olga in Half-Life: Alyx.

Biography[edit]

After spending years in an unfulfilling white-collar job, Jones landed her first voice acting role in 2011[2] when she lent her voice to Katjaa in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead, which was written and directed by Sean Vanaman. Vanaman was so impressed by her performance that, when he left Telltale in 2012 to establish Campo Santo, he immediately called Jones to offer her a role in an unspecified video game that he planned to make with the studio, which Jones ecstatically accepted. While she continued to play small parts in video games from 2014 to 2016, she used the software Skype to record her performance as Delilah opposite Rich Sommer as Henry in the Campo Santo game Firewatch. Firewatch was released in 2016 to critical acclaim, drawing Campo Santo widespread attention and earning Jones a BAFTA award for her performance in 2017. In her acceptance speech, Jones credited Vanaman with changing the course of her life and career.[3] Since Firewatch, Jones has also branched out into animated television, voicing Lilith Clawthorne and few various female characters on The Owl House, Kaguya Otsutsuki on Naruto: Shippûden, and various female characters on Little Big Awesome.[1]

When Half-Life: Alyx was announced on November 21, 2019, Jones teased that she was involved with the game but could not reveal anything further.[4] Her role was revealed as Olga with the release of Alyx on March 23, 2020.[5]
