Biography[edit]
- "Before joining Valve in 2009, Mike was a comic book artist and writer for nearly 20 years. He is best known for his creator-owned series POWERS, Mice Templar, and Hammer of the Gods, and for his mythology writing on Thor and Ares for Marvel Comics. Oeming co-wrote the story for Portal 2: Lab Rat with Ted Kosmatka. Overseeing the whole project, he created the layout and drew the flashback scenes while Andrea Wicklund illustrated the main story. He also drew another Portal comic, Turret Lullaby. Oeming wished to create a comic based on Half-Life 2, but this plan never came to fruition.[3]
Outside of the Half-Life and Portal series, he made most of the Team Fortress 2 comics and the Left 4 Dead comic The Sacrifice.
