Jeremy Bennett is an art director and conceptual artist who worked at Valve from 2006[2] to 2018.[1]

Biography[edit]
Bennett is originally from Weta where he has been the Conceptual Designer for King Kong, the Visual Effects Art Director for The Lord of the Rings trilogy and Conceptual Artist for The Water Horse.[3][4]
Bennett was awarded the Visual Effects Societies award for "Best Art Direction in a Motion Picture" for The Two Towers along with Alan Lee, Christian Rivers and Gino Acevedo.[3]
For the Half-Life series, Bennett created concept art for Portal, Half-Life 2: Episode Two and Half-Life 2: Episode Three, one of them with Ted Backman and Tristan Reidford. Two of his Episode Two and Episode Three works were selected for the 2007 and 2008 Into the Pixel Collections.
He also made art for a story titled "The Perfect Wave", by his co-worker Marc Laidlaw.[5]
He designed most of the Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 areas.

This study attempts to capture the scale of a new portion of Aperture while alluding to the amount of damage that time has inflicted on the facility. You find yourself alone having to navigate through the crumbling overgrown remains in the vague hope that GLaDOS will allow you to escape.[6]
