Landon Montgomery[edit]

Landon Montgomery, also known as "Nexus-6" (born March 9, 1974;[1] died c. March 26, 2020[2]), was a developer who worked at Gearbox as an artist and animator between February 1999 and September 2010.[3] He was one of the co-founders of the company. He worked on the Half-Life expansions and the ports.

He has developed many titles including DeathMatch Maker for Quake, Bethesda’s Battlespire and PraxWar. Landon enjoys RPGs, CART racing, and Mystery Science Theater 3000 - he can also deliver quite a whomping on DM6 as “Nexus-6”.

Stephen Palmer[edit]

Stephen Palmer, also known by his on-line alias "Reichert" (June 28, 1978),[4] is a developer who worked at Gearbox as a designer and in other roles between 1999 and 2010.[5] Before Gearbox, Palmer worked as a programmer for NASA. At the time, he created several maps for Quake, including Dark Forest, which garnered him attention in the community. In 1998, he became one of the founders of Rebel Boat Rocker where he met the core team that later formed Gearbox. At Gearbox, he worked on Opposing Force where he oversaw the development of the "All-Star Deathmatch" project and also created the multiplayer maps Lost Outpost and The Wonderland.[6] For Decay, he created the mission Intensity. He also started the work on the mission Rift before handing the rest to be completed by Matthew Armstrong.[7]

Kristy Pitchford[edit]

Kristy Pitchford, born Kristy Junio and also known as "Stige",[8] is a writer who worked at Gearbox. With Stephen Bahl and Rob Heironimus, she co-wrote the story for Opposing Force. She also wrote the paper manual and official strategy guide for Opposing Force and dialogue for Blue Shift.[9][10] She is married to Gearbox's Randy Pitchford.[11]

Kristy joins us from Confetti Interactive where she had written the stories of "Korky's Quest" - a 3d children's adventure game. She studied English Literature at UC Santa Barbara and UC Los Angeles. As an advocate for children's organizations, each year Kristy spearheads one of the largest Toys For Tots collections in Dallas with many local game development companies including Ensemble Studios, Ion Storm, Rogue, G.O.D. and, of course, Gearbox Software.
