"They're waiting for you, Gordon. In the Test Chamber."
Black Mesa scientist[src]

Sector C, referred to as Sector C Test Labs,[6] is one of the seven main Sectors of the Black Mesa Research Facility.[6]

Known locations[edit]

Anomalous Materials Laboratory[edit]

The Anomalous Materials Laboratory is a location featured in Half-Life in the chapter Anomalous Materials. It consists of test labs and control facilities and is the workplace of Gordon Freeman. It houses the Anti-Mass Spectrometer, a large machine used by the scientists to analyze materials, in the test chamber (also known as Test Lab C-33/a) which is also the source of the Black Mesa Incident. It is often seen or referenced throughout the series.

Anomalous Materials Operations Center[edit]

This area is only seen in Decay in the mission Dual Access. It is a sub section of the Anomalous Materials Laboratory located under the test chamber. It is supervised by Richard Keller from the control room of the Anomalous Materials Operations Center. The player characters operate the lower section of the test chamber and deliver the sample from here to assist the experiment.

The Area 3 Medium Security Facilities[7] is a location featured in Blue Shift in the chapter Insecurity. It is a hub used by the security guards as a base of operations and is the workplace of Barney Calhoun. It is connected to the H-E Particle Labs. From the surveillance room, the player can see Gordon Freeman walking by in the Anomalous Materials Laboratory and Gina Cross delivering the crystal sample to the test chamber.

Sector C Line[edit]

Sector C is connected to the Blue Line of the Black Mesa Transit System.[6] Its inner line, the Sector C Line, is a medium-security area. From Area 9 Security Checkpoint, it serves the Level 3 Dormitories, the Area 3 Security Facilities, and the Anomalous Materials Laboratory. It is also briefly seen in Opposing Force in the chapter Welcome to Black Mesa.
