Datacore is a map in the multiplayer modes of Half-Life and Half-Life: Opposing Force. It was included with both games on their releases, as well as the PlayStation 2 port of Half-Life and Half-Life Deathmatch: Source.

Overview[edit]

Behind the scenes[edit]

The name of the map is hldm6 in the leaked Half-Life: Source map pack (hl-wc-maps). This may be the original title of the map.

The maintenance hall area of Datacore later inspired the design of the entrance to the Black Mesa Biodome Complex in Half-Life: Opposing Force.

The PlayStation 2 version is a slimmed down version of the map, lacking the eastern half of the level with the Long Jump Module area.
