Gasworks is a map in the multiplayer mode of Half-Life and Half-Life: Opposing Force. It was originally released for Half-Life as an exclusive for IGN on January 13, 1999[1] before being officially added later on in a patch and was included with Opposing Force on release.

Overview[edit]

Behind the scenes[edit]

The initials of the map's creator, Randy Lundeen, can be found on the side of the large warehouse.

Valve has stated that Gasworks is their favorite non-teamplay map.[1]

The underground room with the machines was partially reused as the boss fight arena for the Gene Worm in Opposing Force (of6a5).
