The Medic is one of the five playable characters in the multiplayer game modes of Half-Life 2: Survivor.

Overview[edit]
In Battle Mode, the Medic acts as a support character, with the main mission of maintaining health and suit charge of the other players. The other way for the Medics to support their team is with one of the many items related to status effects: the Capture or Poison Grenades, the Poison Crossbow, the Paint Gun, and the Stungun with the Stun Sniper Rifle to apply negative effects to the enemies; the Power or Mind Drinks to boost the friendly player stats; and finally the Recovery Injection, which is able to remove most status effects from the players. The Medic also has access to the Special Magazine, which is extremely useful, as it provides the only source of ammunition for many of the Survivor's weapons.
Even though the Medic has the same high reserve ammo capacity for the standard automatic weapons as that of the Soldier, and also can use the suit-penetrating 9mm Pistol and the powerful long-range Poison Crossbow, the combat capabilities, similarly to the Sniper, are limited by the low suit protection.
The Medic can also be used in the Mission Mode, but does not have any unique weapons or stats, as the mission mode's characters serve only cosmetic purpose.
