The Silenced Enhanced Pistol,[1] also known as simply the Silenced 9mm Pistol, is a purchasable weapon in the Battle Mode of Half-Life 2: Survivor, available to the Sniper for 40,000 SG. It was added to the game in the Survivor 2.0 update,[1] which was released on November 29, 2007.[2]

Overview[edit]
Being a silenced version of the Enhanced Pistol, the Silenced Enhanced Pistol penetrates the player's suit and deals direct damage to their health. The Silenced Enhanced Pistol deals slightly more damage than the regular Enhanced Pistol (7 compared to 6), but has a smaller magazine and lower reserve ammo capacity.
While using most other ranged weapons will reveal the player's position to the enemy team and mark it on their radar, the attached silencer allows the player to stay undetected after firing. The silencer will also make it difficult to figure out the player's position from the firing sound.
Tactics[edit]
The player should keep in mind that while their exact position will not be shown to the enemies, the approximate position, indicated by the radar's border, will still be visible.
Trivia[edit]
Even though the Half-Life 2's 9mm Pistol can be used while under water, the Battle Mode's Enhanced Pistol can not. This also applies to the silenced and dual versions.
