The Timer Grenade, also known as the T-Grenade, is a purchasable weapon in Half-Life 2: Survivor. It can be purchasaed for the Combine Ranger and the Combine Engineer for 150,000 SG. Resistance characters have the Jump Drink available instead of it.
Overview[edit]
The Timer Grenade detonates after a set amount of time, which can be changed with the secondary attack. The available time intervals are 15, 7.5 and 3.675 seconds.[1] The player can pull the pin with the primary attack, which begins the countdown, after which the grenade can be thrown by pressing the primary attack button again. While in countdown, it emits the same sound as the Fragmentation Grenade.
The Timer Grenade has a large explosion radius and can penetrate walls, even as thick as an industrial cargo container. As with all other explosives, the timer grenade will deal damage both to enemies and teammates. Thrown grenades can also be detonated prematurely by shooting at them.
Trivia[edit]
- The Timer Grenade uses a unique explosion effect.
- The player can cancel the explosion of a held armed timer grenade by switching to other weapon.
