The Health Charge Disk, also known as the Health-C-D, is an unlockable item (used as a weapon game-wise) for the Medic in the Battle Mode of Half-Life 2: Survivor, awarded for reaching C-Class. It was added to the game in the Survivor 2.0 update,[1] which was released on November 29, 2007.[2]
Overview[edit]
The primary attack can be used to throw the Health Charge Disk for a short distance, like the secondary mode of S.L.A.M. After the thrown Health Charge Disk falls on a surface and stops moving, it becomes immune to all forms of damage and can not be moved unless it's pushed by physics objects.
After being placed, it acts similarly to the Battle Mode's Health Machine, but faster and with limited amount of charge. The Health Charge Disk can recover health of the player that stands above it, and if the health is already full the suit will also be recharged. While being healed, players can not use their weapons
The Health Charge Disk is able to recover 60 points of health or suit charge, and will disappear after that.
Trivia[edit]
After being dropped, it can be picked up both by teammates and enemy players, but teammates will also see a flashing "HEALTH!" with an arrow pointing towards it, identical to that of the health chargers and also visible through walls, making it easier for them to find it.
