Half-Life Deathmatch: Source is a Source engine port of the multiplayer portion of Half-Life included with Half-Life: Source. It was first announced in June 2005 to be released "In the coming weeks",[2] but was eventually delayed and only became available on May 1, 2006.[1] Along with Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, it was bundled with Half-Life 2: Episode One for some time after its release.[3]
As a port, the game possesses several differences with the original multiplayer component of Half-Life, such as the .357 Magnum lacking the zoom feature.
